My name is Kristi Hingerty, I am a candidate in Longwood University's educational leadership program. I completed my Masters of Education degree from Old Dominion University in 1999. Currently I am an Instructional Technology Specialist with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. I began my teaching career as a fifth grade teacher before transitioning to a Computer Resource Specialist for Virginia Beach City Public Schools in 1998. My current role as an ITS focuses on coaching and supporting teachers with instructional strategies incorporating the use of digital resources for personalized student learning. I am a dedicated educator, working to coach teachers with innovative instructional strategies using digital resources. My goal is focused on reaching all students every day by providing personalized learning experiences through innovative learning practices and a variety of balanced assessments. I will always be passionate about student success and well being. It is my career goal to become a part of the teaching and learning process that empowers teachers and students to reach their fullest potential and future success as life long learners and global citizens.
